Ava Mural Project 2010- "Ava Watershed-Hunter Creek"

The Ava Watershed
This mural is the result of a collaboration between Emerson Climate Technologies, The Watershed Project, Ava High School Students and Willow Springs Artist Michael McClure. As artist in residence, McClure worked with art teacher Sarah Lemons’ students, who painted the animals the are found throughout the mural. Afterward, McClure took the panels to his studio near Willow Springs, MO, and finished the mural. The background is composed of a pair of images taken from where Hunter Creek meets Bryant Creek at Veracruz. The map in the middle shows from Ava to Veracruz along Hunter Creek. These panels were assembled on the south wall of Jean's Healthway Natural Foods, on the square in Ava, MO. .
