Grand Gulf to Mammoth Springs Field Trip

Looking up to the overlook at the top of the Gulf, where visitors
arrive and begin the long walk downhill.
Geologist Dr. Bill Hedden of Koshkonong provided interpretation
on the field trip. He is standing in the losing stream that is
at the bottom of the Gulf.
Grand Gulf is a spectacular
collapsed cavern
featuring steep limestone/dolomite cliffs
Dolomite outcropping
and waterfall
