Carp feeding

Common Carp    
 

Family Cyprinidae
Size: To 30", but usually 14", to 50 lbs.
Notice:
•2 pairs of barbels (whiskers) on upper lip.
•Sides are greenish, belly yellowish, back darker.

Native of Asia. Introduced in 1880 as a sport fish. Now considered to be a "weed" fish. Omniverous, eats anything. Roots about for food. This carp is feeding on what it has stirred up from the muddy bottom.
