  Cottus bairdi
Sculpins are small fish with large heads. They lack swim bladders and rest on the bottom. Their coloring tends to blend in with their background. This Mottled Sculpin has got its mouth around what appears to be a tiny trout.
Size: To 4".
Notice:
•Eyes on top of the head.
•Big Head, tapering body.
•Mottled coloring matches bottom.
•Large pectoral fins (on sides just back of gills).
