The water quality rating is an algorithm based on the taxa of macroinvertebrates found at the site. Less than 12 is poor water quality, 12-17 is fair, 18-23 is good, and anything over 24 is excellent.

The oxygen saturation percentage is found in a chart that varies according to two factors: the water temperature and the parts per million of oxygen. The time of day plays a part as the oxygen concentration varies within a 24 hour period.

The pH is a measurement of hydrogen ions (acidic) or hydroxyl ions (basic) with less than 7 being acidic and greater than 7 being basic.

Nitrate concentration is expressed in mg/L (microgram per liter); the lower the better.

Conductivity expresses the amount of dissolved matter in the water and the unti of measurement is micromhos per centimeter.

Water volume is given in cubic feet per second.
