Team Watershed

Team Watershed volunteers are citizens from the community who are supporting the educational programs that are part of the Our Watersheds Our Homes project.

The 2005 program includes hands-on activities on a variety of topics, presented in classrooms and schoolyards, by trained SMSU-WP Elementary Education students.

Stream Days field trips feature Team Watershed volunteers facilitating small group activities with field professionals. At left, volunteer Pat Hight (standing) teaches about stream invertebrates.

Hands-on activities include water quality monitoring, stream invertebrates study, stream table demonstration, a streamside scavenger hunt, and more.
