For the mural that Richards School third graders developed for the 2003-04 school year, the students researched four different West Plains circuses, 1897, 1905, 1916 and c. 1920's. The class studied the history of circuses going back to the Circus Maximus in Rome and learned how circuses have changed during the Middle Ages, the Colonial period and through to the present.
