Spring River Galloway Creek Nature Park Earth Day

Earth Day Workday at Galloway Creek Park

Earth Day, April 22, 2006 was a work day at Galloway Creek for the service groups that are busy developing the park. Participants included the Rotary Club, the Boy Scouts, the Ozarks Chapter of Missouri Master Naturalists, and the Homebuilders Association.

Tree planting crews were hard at work. Installing a wood duck house in the riparian buffer zone along the creek.
The Homebuilders Association constructing the covered bridge. A raingarden is being built to catch storm water runoff from the parking lot.
Boy Scouts and the Rotary Club working on the picnic area. The pavilion is almost finished.
Log benches ready for outdoor classrooms. Break time!
